Happy Mother's Day
And what a happy day it was! Mind you, stressful and overwhelming as well, but still a good day.
We have now had our little ones for just over 24 hours. Yes, I did say little ones meaning we went from 0 to 2 kids yesterday. We have a tiny, snugly 3 week old girl and a smiley, happy nearly 2 year old boy.
I haven't yet come up with nicknames for them to use on here... so I guess it will be little sister and big brother for now.
Quick Thoughts:
- It's amazing how quickly you realize how un-childproofed your house is when you suddenly have a 2 yr old curious about everything!
- It's wonderful snuggling little sister and realizing I get to hold her as long as I want.
- Big brother is still trying to figure out what to call us, but for now, we are both Momio said with almost an italian accent. Very cute!
- It's amazing what you can do on little sleep.
- Inigo doesn't like big brother... probably because big brother likes to grab his tail and hang on, or his fur and hang on.
- Midnight mostly stays away or out of reach, but is still present in the room. Big brother likes to squat and look at her, but he doesn't touch her yet.
- Malinki seems to want nothing to do with the little ones. He quickly runs through the room they're in, and that's only if he absolutely has to pass through that room. He has been pretty much living in our bedroom or the basement.
- Samson love to sniff big brother's head. Big brother's not too fond of this! However, Samson has let him know he doesn't like to be stepped on. He woofs and moves away, not touching big brother, but scaring him just a little.
- Toby doesn't seem to have much of an opinion, except that he still wants attention as always. However, he does not deem grabbing his fur and pulling a good form of attention!
