Time is flying by. Today, while waiting for all of my copies to finish for Algebra 2, I started looking at the year long calendar on the wall in the copy room. I realized that this is my 6th week of teaching there! And since it's Wednesday, this 6th weeks is almost done! Since my end date is November 19th, I only have four weeks left. Initially four weeks felt like a long time, but now, seeing how quickly the last five have gone, I feel like I'll be out of there before I know it... it's actually kind of a sad thought!
And yet, as sad as it will be to leave some of the students I have come to enjoy teaching, I will also be very thankful for a bit more time at home, and a bit more time to devote to preparing for and teaching my college class...
Speaking of college class...
Last week, I was asked by the head of the math department if I would be able to teaching a class [trigonometry] and maybe a second one too [intermediate algebra]! I am so excited! Between those two classes and probably teaching the AutoCAD class again [same one I'm teaching now] next semester, I will be rollin' in the dough! Well, actually, I'd only be doing that if I were making bread or cookies since it will still be just barely enough to pay the bills.. but still... I am SO excited!
So that's about all the news I have right now... until later [hopefully sooner than a month from now]...
