February Thaw

We finally had a warm day here!  I remember hearing at my parents a week or so ago that we had more than 10 days of subzero temperatures so far this year, so the last few days of above freezing have been a nice change.  Unfortunately it also made our driveway a slush pit, so especially with the impending rain, it was necessary to shovel some of the slush.  Mid afternoon, after AJ had woken from a nap and eaten, I checked the temp to see if I could go out then with her or wait until she was napping again... this is what I saw...

I thought it was especially fun to see the picnic table in the background with the snow up to the benches.  So I put AJ in a medium weight snow suit, and that with a blanket and a hat seemed very sufficient.  Outside we went.  It was a nice day to soak up some vitamin D and take a nap outside!

I got some of the driveway cleaned up and once Tim got home from picking up his new coat, he got a bit more cleaned up.  Samson also enjoyed some time outside and a trip in the van while Tim picked up his new coat.

Then today, I woke up to pouring snow... yes, it was like pouring rain, but thick heavy snowflakes.  Add into that a bit of thunder and you get...

Yep, "Thunder Snow" :)  Haven't seen that before listed on a weather report!

Well, I have a chicken in the oven, a shower to take and housework to be done before work tonight.  Have a great day!
