AJ is growing up too fast. In not quite two weeks she will be six months old. It's hard to believe that we have had her in our home for that long! She has grown a lot in that time and has changed a lot too. But it is neat to see how even looking back at when she was a newborn that she still has features that are the same. I can still see the tiny baby in her... or her in the tiny baby?

The mess we have with getting some stuff in the past cleared up before we can proceed with adopting AJ is still around. However last week we finally made a little bit of progress on it. Instead of everything being at a standstill, we are now moving at a turtle's pace towards getting it all cleared up. I go back and forth on how I'm feeling about it... either positive that it will all go away, or dreading that it won't and fearing for the future. But I try to choose the positive and put my trust in God that he has it completely under control and knows the ending already.
Our big dog Samson seems lonely lately. Our small dog, Toby, passed away just after Thanksgiving. I was working on a memory post for him just after that, but then got busy with the holidays and now it feels kind of strange to post it since he has been gone for a few months now. But Samson seems to miss the company. It also doesn't help that with all the snow and more importantly the terribly cold wind chills that we haven't gotten out much to take a walk. Here are a few pictures of the one and only walk we've taken him on this winter.
He enjoyed it very much! We had a hard time walking through the deep snow in the park, but that just reinforced my hubby's point that we should invest in some snow shoes. AJ does her best to keep Samson company though... or at least keep him near by. She loves her doggy and he loves that she sometimes shares spit-up with him.
Well, that is about all for now. Or at least all I can think of during nap time. Have a great snowy day!
