I truly believe that right now, foster care is the path that God has for us. There have been many things along the licensing way that have given us reassurance that it's where God wants us for now. And I really don't think we'd be here, at this point, if we had had biological children. Case in point - as soon as we found out we were expecting before, we stopped the process, only to pick it up again many months later after our miscarriage. But not matter how many times I remind myself that this is true, no matter how many reassurances I get, it still stings to see
... just announced they are expecting their first baby. God blesses those who choose him. 'Congrats' does not seem enough to say for this awesome news...
A friend talking about another friend of theirs.
I know that God is in control. I know that He has made barren women conceive. I know that He made a virgin conceive. I know that God has control over whether or not I ever get pregnant, or carry a pregnancy to term. I also know that right now, we have been blessed in so many ways throughout this process... so why is it still my gut reaction to read something like this and feel hurt - like they are implying that either we are not choosing Him, or that He isn't blessing us.

It hurts because you are human. I know that doesnt make it feel any better but just because something is Gods will doesnt mean its not going to hurt. You know you are choosing God. You are allowing him to decide what He wants your parenting to look like even though its not what you had planned. He will bless you so much with children when the time is right. That being said, its ok to get upset, cry even get angry God gets it.
